Just picked up a big brother for my 250-3000. Big brother is a
Savage 99C, 308 Win., gold trigger and tang safety. Can someone
date this gun for me. Ser#: 109xxxx with detachable mag.
There is also a scope: Lyman All - American 2 1/2 power Perma-Center with Dot reticle.
Does anyone know of this scope?
Any info would be great.

The Lyman All-Americans were very good scopes, and the straight-tube 2.5X looks just right on a 99. They sell for $100-150 on eBay.

Hey Jeff G, yea I bought it. Dont know what happened to the other 308. Going to shoot it and the 250 tomorrow. Bought a real nice early Weaver at the spring show in saratoga now I've got to re-sight it in.
