Rifle is in good shape with normal wear from use. I bought this rifle several months ago but never fired it. I purchased every part of the iron sight set except the "rear sight rib" from Numrich and they will be included with the rifle. $385

my first rifle was a 788 in 308 win. it's accuracy spoiled me. It would shoot 1/2-3/4" at 100 with several loads. I shot several muleys with it. 788's are great guns.
bump for my favorite rifle.......

A 788 in .308 was my first rifle too. Like you I was amazed by the way it made small holes in targets when "sighting in" day arrived each year!
Still have mine in the safe...someday a grandchild is going to get it passed on.....

Tennessee is GTG, fellows. He's a top notch guy to deal with.

This will be my second one. The other'n is a 7mm-08 carbine that my bro in law had. Haven't shot it much yet, but he said it shoots real nice.

FINALLY got the gun today! Not Tennessee's fault tho, he had trouble making contact with my FFL guy. The gun got there last Friday, and I was workin night shift all weekend. Gun is at least as good as he described it, and was packed very well. Thank you Tennessee!

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA
