Gentlemen, I am new to this forum but I have an item that I need to part with. It is a Savage Model 99A in .308 caliber. It has a tang safety, schnable forend, straight grip, steel shotgun butt plate, steel cartridge follower, and a case colored lever. The gun is in 95%+ condition with no rust, excellent bore and a bright spot on the top of the barrel where it had been standing in a gun cabinet for years. It also comes with a Leupold 1-pc. scope mount and rings. I don't know when it was manufactured, but the serial number is D123XXX. This might be the ideal gun for conversion to .358 because I will throw in a .358 cartridge follower I purchased from Numrich Gun Parts Corp. when I contemplated just such a project. I will sell the package for $525 and I will pay the shipping and insurance. I do need to send it to an FFL however. Thank you for taking the time to look at this. P.S.
