but it ain't Metropolis niether! My 20 YO son and I went for a 13 mile hike in the Allegheny NF of PA. 4 1/2 mi Tuesday. Camped by a little stream and ate grilled bratwurst and bread. Had toast and PB for breakfast then 8 1/2 mi out today. He darn near killed me! Thanks for looking.

Good stuff...Taking my cousin and his 14yr old boy up there to camp along the Clarion River and do some canoeing next week. Beautiful country. Thanks for sharing that.

Smoke and Silvertip, I'm surprised at two Coloradans posting positive or envious comments about PA pics!! I'm jealous of you guys! Thanks for the comments.
COR, we were in the Hickory Creek Wilderness Area east of Tidioute. I/We had done three overnighters on the North Country Trail last year but we couldn't get away from the gas wells and drilling. I went to the ranger station in Marienville and asked if there was a map that showed gas wells. She said that there wasn't one but there could be wells anywhere in the ANF except that wilderness area.
Are you going to get out west this year?

I am jealous, I would love to take my son on a pack trip and get him back out in the mountains! Looks like a great time!

I'll be in Collbran and Grand Mesa NF next month.
