any insight on this barrel code would be appreciated. I can't figure it out, it doesn't seem to match up with what i have read about translating Remington codes. this is from a late 50's to early 60's wingmaster, but i would love to know the year of manufacture.

Those are proof marks, not the date code. There should be a two or three letter code there, also on the port side of the barrel.

that's all there is, no other markings other than obvious stuff like "patent pending" and "imp cyl".....some thought EZZ (Oct 53) maybe?
