To me, the appeal of that rifle is that it is 100% pure functionality, no frills. It's very unassuming in it's looks, no flare or even a hint of "look at me!" type attitude ... The olive drab stock against matte black everything else is a perfect complement. And, to boot, I'm sure that it makes a very nice compare/contrast to Stick's collection of "swirlys" ...
Now, the only thing missing is the Jolly Roger ...

I liken it to being a Heavy Duty Cutie.

600 clams will get the 3.5-10x M1 to my door in Paradise and allow the NRA 10 clams via Midway's "Round up" program in their behalf.
Big Momma remains impressed......................(grin)

Actually,my kids took precedent. Been a spell since work has kept me away for this long and I've no qualm tossing them my vacation time.
Our weather puked and we've a real low ceiling coupled with driving winds and rain. We were/are hoping for a window,to do some Backpack Hunting up high, but it's not the end of the World if that doesn't happen.
Serious Buck Whackin' happens during The Rut,as it's my favorite time to gather serious specimens,as primed capes are of interest to me. Our Season opens Aug 1 and goes to Dec 31,so the pressure to perform is nonexisting.
My guess is I'll manage to get "lucky",yet again this year.
This evening is shaping up to be a fair to middlin' shindig, after another range session in our current [bleep] conditions. Will be curious to see if a brace of Kimber Montana 7-08's can hang with a Ti 7-08,when the trio is fed good componetry.
My money is on me,but I'm funny that way.(grin) Couldn't speculate who's gonna get drunkest, but I aim to go for the gold.
Paradise still don't suck....................

Stick,
If you want to load up some powder puff loads for the kids, try 18.5 gr of blue dot under a 125-165 pill of your choice. My wifes .308 is wicked accurate with said charge of blue dot under a 165 gr honrnady bt sp. POI is slick too, 3" high with hunting loads put's the mild loads dead on at 100 yds.
