Kampfeld did a couple for me about a year ago. Believe $75 each.

TB is about the cheapest I've found and they do it quick as well.
Fixin to send two to him shortly.
Karl quoted me $250 to flute, skeletonize, and CC. TB was far less.

I had a 721 bolt done by Chad Dixon with Long Rifles Inc. Did a great job for $50 recently on a Snipers Hide group buy. I think his regular price is $65. http://youtu.be/7F0s41npxx0

I'm curious about bolt fluting because I read about quite a few people having it done and from time to time even see some rifles with fluted bolts in the Classifieds. Is it mainly for looks (aesthetics)?
The reason I ask is that all of my Rem 700 bolt actions besides Titanium actions have been smooth (like butter) as they came from the factory, and the weight savings due to bolt fluting must be pretty close to negligible (something like a 1/2 oz) - right?

The reason that I asked in the original post was because I am putting together a light 7mm-08. Not so much to save weight, I just think it looks sweet!

I have a few, one was done by Kampfeld the others by Chad Dixon at Long Rifles Inc during the $50 special. You can't tell them apart, both guys give great service. I'd use either with no concerns
I once visited a place where BBQ was a verb, Canadian whiskey was the norm and no sweet tea on the menu. Hell on earth for a Southern boy!!
