Hey the boy needs a car...

This is a car, no?

Only problem is I'd be jealous as hell. grin

The little flatty V8 runs, and it's got the 3 speed with overdrive.

Can you see another ND and kid car project thread in the future??

I can.

Those shoebox Fords are some of the coolest ones made. Sittin' down in the weeds, ghost flames, laker pipes, swap in a Y-block. It doesn't get much better.

Busy weekend. Attended our 50th HS class reunion. I shared Emcee duties with another classmate and think we did a darn good job. One of my best friends from HS was there. We haven't seen each other in close to 50 years. Had a great time catching up.

Dave like the old Ford, but that flathead has to go. Those old flatheads ate values like they were candy.

When I was in high school a good friend had a '51.He took out a six cylinder and put in a Lincoln flat head V-12.Heck of a car.Ran like a scalded ape.
I also went to a gun show both Saturday and Sunday.Had a great time.Saturday I bought my wife something she had been wanting,a new Glock 17.She was tickled with it.On Sunday I happened on a guy with an NEF Handi rifle in 45/70 with synthetic stock.I have a "Trapper" short barrel one with wood stock. Now it has a mate.I mounted a 2.5X Tasco Bantam when I got home.Looks great. The Greenville,SC gun shows get bigger and better each time.

Stan, Glock has now come out with generation 4 models. Any idea what changed?

It was the "all school" reunion in my home town as well.

Grizzly Bill,
No I have no idea what changed. This one is an "RTF" model which stands for rough textured finish. We both like the finish.
Oh,I forgot to mention that at the show I bought a big box of 45/70 reloading supplies from a guy who was disposing of an estate.
I was like a kid at Christmas when I got home unpacking all of it.

Thanks Stan...I'll have to go out on the Glock site and see what they have to say. Saw the Gen 4's at Gander, but didn't have time to stick around and ask questions. They also had a Glock in 40 S&W with a factory compensator.

Happy belated Birthday Ryan. Have not been on here for a few days.

I had my reunion this weekend too. There were only 8 of 31 people from my class there. Although 23 of the 31 showed up for the benefit we had a couple months ago for one of our classmates. So I guess that was kind of our reunion.

Cool car RWS! smile

It's Tuesday evening. You could have that running by Friday night. Rusty, sure, but everything looks straight and complete. Do it, you know we all want you to.

phfthththtt... I'd have it running inside an hour.

Driving.. another half an hour... stopping... optional.

stopping adds 2 hours if you want to do it with the brake peddle.

Hey dudes... I didn't want to say anything until I actually had them in my hands but I got a few new toys in the past few months.

I picked up this Rem 760 in .35 Rem last weekend. I bought if off GB but it's been at Redneck's for a few weeks at least.

It's a real cream puff. I'd not be surprised if it's never been shot. I don't think it's ever seen the woods. Not a dang mark on it. I'm hesitant to even put a scope on it, but with my bad eyes I need to. I may shoot it this weekend with the open sights anyway just cuz.

Some of you may have seen this one, but maybe not.

I've had it since mid June. Winchester M70 XTR fwt (push feed) in .243 Win. Another beauty. It came with the Leupold vari x-II for $550. It still had a Winchester "Real Walnut" sticker on the stock.

This one will get a different scope after this hunting season. It has vari-x II 3x9x40 and it just seems too big. But I have it sighted in for 2" high at 100 and it shoots about 1.5" at the same with Horandy 100gr Interlocks. So I'm going to leave it for now.

Couple of nice finds there Tom.

I had a 760 back in the 70's, but it was in 30-06. Good shooting rifle, but it kicked like a mule with 180 grainers. Had to be the stock design.
