Anyone know a good source for heavy weight, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/help.gif" alt="" /> hard cast bullets for 44 mag and 45-70?

yeah, why not MOULD YOUR OWN, in the long run its FAR less expensive

if you dont have the equipment get a lube sizer, a dipper and find a coleman camp stove at a yard sale, an old steel 2 qt pot and a hundred pounds of wheel weights from the local tire stores (cost about 15 cents a pound) and you can be casting
wheel weights plus a little tin added (4%-6%) will make great bullets


really! you can do it and save a great deal of money if you shoot a great deal,Ive cast and shot thousands of 44 and 458 caliber bullets, killed dozens of game animals and almost never used jacketed bullets in revolvers or my 45/70
BTW
aluminum muffin pans make good ingot moulds
not counting the lube sizer and a pack of gaschecks (THOSE ARE OPTIONAL, if you used non-gascheck bullet designs) I doubt it will cost you $80-$160 if your careful

you can make over 2000 bullets from a single bucket of scrap wheel weights

I really like cast bullet performance's stuff, so I'll second lylebynites suggestion.
