Here's the link to the IDFG page showing the zones, seasons, limits, etc. IDAHO WOLF SEASONS All zones open Aug 30. Closing dates vary from Dec 31 to June 30 so a few zones have a 10 month season.

In reading the FAQ's, I see that they're saying we have over 1000 wolves and they'd like to trim that down to 150. It'll take a few weeks to knock off 850 wolves.

What do you think the over/under should be? 300? 350? No effing way they'll get 800 this year, although they will allow trapping, so maybe that'll boost it some.

Your probably right but with the aid of electronic calls and trapping, more will be taken than the last time.In Elk City, they already have taken a few by trapping and shotguns, by the two cops that live there....

Atleast it is a start and them puppies won't be jumping fences in back country towns eating pets, anymore or sport killing horses behind my place.

It's a start and way better than poison that kills all, intentionally or not..

I knew they let bobcats and coyotes into the Woodlot, but never thought they'd let wolves in... Tell Jim dodge hi for me.

The wolf huggers filed an appeal before the 9th Circuit over the weekend. That bunch of liberals might reverse things a bit although Malloy's decision a few weeks ago was based on a prior decision by the 9th. We'll see.

Sounds like a good start. Wisconsin DNR 'tards could take some notes.. They'll need to check with their handlers at the HSUS first.

First wolf I ever saw was on the Clearwater River as we were leaving Orofino one spring after turkey hunting. Terrible pic but it's all we had time for. He was huge.

I will be in unit 14 chasing white tail and hoping a wolf walks in front of my rifle.
