I know alot of these 223AI's have been posted but just thought I'd share mine. It is a Model Seven originally scored off the classifieds from woofer. I had GA Precision rebarrel it with a #3 contour, 1 in 14 twist Mike Rock barrel finished at 21 3/4". GAP's machine work is excellent. Other goodies include a Jewell trigger,Leupold one piece base, Burris dual dovetail Signature rings topped off with a Leupold LR 3.5-14x40 with VHR. I know the Mcmillian Classic (thanks Rick) stock's colors are probally a little too much for most but I wanted something flashy and am very happy with it. So far nothing but fireforming loads of X-terminator pushing 40 grain NBT's at 3850 fps has been through it and she is definately a shooter. I'm curious as to how the fireformed loads will feed but am still waiting for my dies. Here is a couple pics.

Sexy machine Frank. A 223AI is my next project after my next project is finished in November.
What did you use on the 3 tails you sent me?

Steelhead, That would be the tail taker although she was dressed in the original factory stock with a butched out barrel channel at the time.

Very, very COOL.
I carried my Little Blue .223 Ackley with me to the Winchester Predator Hunt about five years ago. I took also along a big roll of desert camo tape, just in case my guide thought that that a bright blue-and-white McSwirly was going to be a problem.
My guide was Gary Roberson, the owner of Burnham Brothers Calls. Gary told me that it would be absolutely no problem at all, just as long as stayed halfway still during the call setup.
To make a long story short, about five minutes into the first call, I saw a large bobcat slooooly pecking his way toward the caller and I killed him when he stood still at about 100 yards. A couple of minutes after that, a good-sized red coyote came zipping under the sagebrush and I killed him at shotgun range with my .223 Ackley.
During the next three days, the Little Blue Rifle spoke about eight or ten more times. Each time it spoke, another coypte hit the ground......dead.
Take it from me, color of stock is really not an issue; motion is.

FVA, cool rifle. I think you will enjoy it. I'm with Steve on the color, I don't think it really matters much. I always figure that by the time they are able to see it, they have a serious problem. It that a .8 recoil pad? What does it weigh all up?

7_08FAN, Its a 1/2" Decelerator pad. According to my scale she weighs in at an even 8 pounds.

WOW! Forty gr. BT @ 3850 is going to make a lot of .22/250's obsolete. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Bob
