I got a new bowstring/ cables and had them installed at local archery shop. Started shooting and only some minor adjustments with the sight. Been shooting fine 30 yds with field pts and fixed blade practice broadheads. Move to 20 yds and the broadheads are windplaning up.

the nock is at zero. I'm thinking it should be raised and re-tune. Thoughts?

Is it a drop-away rest? If so yes nock point should be high.

Thanks for replying. Yes, ripcord. I'll raise it up say 3/8" and go from there.

IMO, 3/8" is too much. I'd start off moving it at 1/8" increments.

If you are using dual cams then the nock needs to be level and if you are using solo cam bows then it needs to be 1/8 inch high. I believe it is the same if you are using FOB's instead of vanes. This is the way to set up the Code Red Ripcord. Also make sure you orientate the cock feather straight up or sightly Left or Right to make sure it clears the cable guard

You can download -free- the Easton tuning guide from their site

I prefer the micro adjust rests for the simple reason you can make the fine adjustments necessary to get your BH's to group with FP's much easier.

As a reference for you, when my FP's are paper tuned it usually only takes 1/16" movement of the rest [on both axis] to get my BH's to group with FP's and you always want to make tiny adjustments.

Seems like the guys that have inconsistencies with this process its most likely their grip

3/8 was way too much...thanks for all the replies. ran out of time today but probably have another 1/16 to go and will be fine...still down planing a tad at 1/4in above zero...the shop also messed with the angle of my cable guide and my vanes were hitting...i put to full 90 and needed to re-zero the rest...ugh what a pain...we'll get there though
