Leaving for Utah October 6. Can't wait. Spending 3-4 evenings a week at a local ski area doing laps up and down the hills. Got my load for my .338 dialed in. Sorting my gear out. I love this time of year.

The horse trailers are pouring into town for Elk season in the backcountry of Idaho and bow season. Two days and I'm off for a week scouting around..Then it's bugleing season and time to hunt...Busy time of the year getting all the reloads just where you want them and the camper back in shape along with any gadgets a fella might use like ATV's and such..
Time is getting short....

Good Shooting!

It is quiet, cuz I have been out chasing them with a flip stick. I have a spike tag for Utah and have called in some WHOPPER 350+ bulls. Damn, one day I will draw a big bull tag <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> Flinch

Got a private land either sex tag for the first Colorado hunt. Busy testing new loads for my .338-06 and .338 Win Mag. Loaded some old faithfuls for the .300 Weatherby. Waiting for brass to show up for a newly acquired .375 H&H--if it shoots 260 grain Accubonds, I may take it along, too.

Most of my partners come in from out of state, so I have the ready the gear for a fair size camp. Rick just sent me the last piece for a new rifle, got a new trailer to haul all the stuff. Spent the weekend installing tool and gear boxes on it. The stuff I need to haul filled my old trailer so much there was no room to bring the game home. Yeah! I know, but I do hunt light, just out of a big camp. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

As the saying goes, it's time to quit cutting bait and go fish. I'm leaving next Wednesady for smoke pole season.
