Learned that after 3 s hots from my .338 failed to put a Kodiak brown down for good, and my extra ammo was in the pack. Ain't no fun having one round and a dying, pizzed off bear in the brush. I did go back and get the extra rounds before chasing into the thick scheit, but started carrying 'em on the stock shortly afterward. Then I started losing ammo from the "Bubba Buddy" and decided I'll just learn to shoot straighter so i don't need to carry extra boolits. My discarding the Buddy has nothing to do with being one of the "cool kids" or peer pressure....just can't afford to keep losing ammo...and my gun no longer looks like it caught the gay.
