Here is how I have spent my summer. Now I feel renewed and ready to hit the woods again.

That is definitely something I did not do enough of this summer. I am still ready for the woods though

Right now they are "in rut" so they are swollen and full of "juice". The top one is only a 35" but pulled like an ox. I've had 40"s that were way easier to get in. My yak is a Drifter although I'm planning an upgrade to a Trident 15.

How far from the shore do you fish with such kayaks ?

I only do about a half mile, most go a couple miles out to the offshore oil rigs.

Get that Trident and you'll make it out to the rigs no problem. The Drifter is the best river/float kayak there is but its so wide it is a lot of work on a long paddle. If you fish rivers I'd keep the Drifter though.
