Here is how I have spent my summer. Now I feel renewed and ready to hit the woods again.

Fuggin' awesome, very nice redfish. I'll bet that one towed you around awhile. OK Trident 13?

Very awesome.

That is definitely something I did not do enough of this summer. I am still ready for the woods though grin

Right now they are "in rut" so they are swollen and full of "juice". The top one is only a 35" but pulled like an ox. I've had 40"s that were way easier to get in. My yak is a Drifter although I'm planning an upgrade to a Trident 15.

Wow, it looks like a very exciting fishing experience. Congrats.

How far from the shore do you fish with such kayaks ?

I only do about a half mile, most go a couple miles out to the offshore oil rigs.

Get that Trident and you'll make it out to the rigs no problem. The Drifter is the best river/float kayak there is but its so wide it is a lot of work on a long paddle. If you fish rivers I'd keep the Drifter though.
