My new TVM rifle showed up today. Now I need to get out on the front porch and do some shooting. Overall I think it looks pretty good. Only time will tell when it starts paying for itself in venison!! I know it is tough to take pictures of a rifle that is so long. But it does not feel long when I shoulder the rifle. It actually feels pretty light and handy. I was aiming at things out the window and the rifle was rock steady. I don't know if that is because of the swamped barrel or not. But it feels extremely comfortable. Tom.

Matt & Toni put together some nice rifles. Yours is more evidence of the same....gorgeous. I expect it will shoot just fine. Swamped barrels have the reputation of being "nice to hold" and the hang of a longrifle can only be experienced. Good on you HOGHEAD!!! What caliber?

Very nice rifle....but the lock is on the wrong side for most shooters except for me.

I have been shooting flint lock's for over 35 years. So yes I have a bit of experience with them. The lock is a large Siler. And the rifle is a 50 caliber. The model is early Lancaster. Tom.

I sorta thought you did, but it never hurts to ask. Siler locks are purty good ones. My Lancaster uses an L&R Classic and it is very fast. Fast locks help ME a lot. Still fighting the follow through here!

A buddy just picked up one of these used. Shot it for the first time today. Very very sweet. His is a 50 cal rifled. First load was 90 gr goex FFG under 0.015 patch with 490 rb and it cloverleafed. Had trouble with misfires, no spark and sometimes with spark but I told him it would take him two or three dates to get into that lady's bed. Very nice ML.

Ain't no flys on Silers. I have 4 on different flinters and they're all pretty darn quick.
