Well it just so happens, that I have here my trusty VihtaVuori Reloading Guide, Edition 6, updated July 2008. Can`t have 4 lbs of N160 just sitting of your shelf now can we?

Yes, you can use N160. In fact, N160 is listed for all the bullet weights shown except the 190 gr for some reason.

Here`s what it shows for the 300 Win; 24 1/2" barrel, Lapua cases trimmed to 2.610", COAL for both examples is - 3.339".....

Bullet weight...........167 gr
Bullet type.............Silver jacket
Mfg.....................Lapua
Powder..................N160
Starting load...........67.7 gr @ 2723 fps
Maximum load............74,5 gr @ 3015 fps

Bullet weight...........167 gr
Bullet type.............Scenar
Mfg.....................Lapua
Powder..................N160
Starting load...........72.4 gr @ 2887 fps
Maximum load............77.3 gr @ 3117 fps

Hope that helps.

And here are 18 more 300 Win N160 loadings using all bullet weights and different brands.

reloadersnest.com/frontpage.asp?CaliberID=61

Scroll down and find N160 on the right column and click (15 loads).

After viewing the 15 loads, click to go back, and scroll down to find three more N160 loadings.

..............I forgot to add that. Most times, posters on Reloadersnest post their maximums.
