Second worst pain I've ever felt in my life! Worst involved an abscess in a place one should never get an abscess, a Dr. with scalpel, and four people holding me down on an ER table after two doses of Verced (sp?) didn't work!

cures everything. Your too damn funny there ND!! I'll have to agree with the gents that have experienced it, I went through it late Wednesday night. Worse pain I have ever experienced in my entire life, beating out 2nd degree burns on my arm and face, breaking my nose 3 times and damn near losing my hand to an infection. I hope I never go through that again.

cures everything. The 21st century equivalent of a tablespoon of Castor oil, methinks. Seriously though, AK. Doesn't sound pleasant-take good care of yourself.

None for me. But my buddy was on a hunt in Manitoba, I think, and got a kidney stone. They had to get him outta there. Hauled him on an ATV I don't know how many miles. Flew him back home. Got to the hospital where they smashed it.
Not sure why he wasn't hospitalized there, but he tells me he'd a rather died.
Not long ago he passed one about an eighth inch in diameter, with the usual jags and prickles on it, but hardly felt it.

At least that might make you forget about about your kidney stone for a while. I've passed bunches of em,..more than a dozen. Have a little one in a vial I collected a couple weeks ago. Water is your friend if they're moving at all. Drink a minimum of 40oz/hr for a few hours in a row and shoot for over 120oz/day. That will get things moving if they're going to move. If they're out of the kidney and not moving you've got 2 options. 1) Lithotripsy which uses soundwaves to bust em into smaller rocks. 2) Go in with a flexible grab-all and get em..... I've had Litho done a few times. Still have some small ones left that need to pass, but I've given up drinking everything but Water and I hope that helps. If they get to hurting,..get to the DR. I've had them hurt so bad I've had to go to the ER twice and get some IV painkillers. Here's one of mine...8-32 set screw for reference Here's why they hurt so bad....they look like little shark teeth under a scope. Good luck.

I passed gall stones about this time 2 years ago. Had to have my gall bladder out. Most painful experience of my life-felt like someone was yanking my guts out with a fork.

The RN described them as a mini "mace" from mid-evil times, those pictures pretty much confirmed it. I hope to god I never pass another one of those damned things. I'd rather smash my hand with a hammer than go through that again.

Had a bout with kidney stones 3 years ago. The pain was so bad that I was throwing up. During the first 3 episodes the stones passed by themselves. After having ultrasound and CAT scans they determined that there was still a blockage in my left kidney. They went in through the stem end of my bladder (under anesthesia) and blew it up with a laser. Or so they said because I was unconscious at the time and glad for it. I only passed one more little one after the treatment and none in the last 2 years thanks be to God. I drink at least 32 ounces of water over and above what I drink at meals. I add a little apple cider vinegar (it's an acquired taste) to the water to keep things moving along. Good luck brother and hope you feel better soon.

They look exactly as I've imagined them to look, hence my bur comparison.

Another question for those in the know, could a fall from about 5-6 feet cause something like this to happen?

Did you pass em through a crono?
The one on the right looks about right, looks like it took some of the rifling out of the barrel when it passed.

How 'bout nooo? Actually, I nominate Barak. He can lecture us about how kidney stones are a conspiracy of the evil medical profession, which is in turn controlled by the International bankers. Only Ron Paul can save us from kidney stones, boys.
