I was unaware these cards could be so expensive. What is a good starter GB size? My Bushnell will accept up to 32 GB but that puppy is $70-$90, ouch !!! I use an 8 GB in my Nikon 5000 and have yet to fill it up.
How many scouting camera pic's can you get on an 8 GB ? Same as my DSLR?

You're probably looking at higher speed Class cards. A game camera doesn't need speed like your DSLR does.
Look for a Class 4 card, that'll work in most of your basic digital cameras and probably more than serve your needs in a game camera.
Can't know how many pics on a card till you determine the resolution of your game camera. Then the info on the card packaging will tell you a per GB to pics held.

It's an 8.0 megapixel if that makes a difference.

If you read the fine print, some cameras say not to use too many gigs. I have one that says not to use over 8 GB. Buy them at Sams or Costco if you can.

I use a 2 GB size, you can find them on the internet for about $6 a piece. 2 GB will hold 1800 5 MP pictures, you don't need a 32 GB card for a game camera, the batteries would run out long before you'd ever get the card 1/10th of the way full. The 2 GB size lets you have enough cards for spares so you can change them out every week or so and check them. Go to www.newegg.com to get your cards

I use 2GB cards in my Bushnell cams. On the middle resolution setting I get 3600 pictures.

1 and 2GB cards are plenty...they're inexpensive and allows me to have several cards and swap them out.
