Just want to hear some experiences, good/bad sellers, etc.

Both bought and sold...just follow the rules of the site and the law...and get a postal money order if you're selling.

It's a bad site. Don't go there. Never go there. Stay away. It's BAD. It's aptly named - BROKER that's what it makes you.

I have purchased a couple rifles off this website with no problems. I just look for the same things there as i would with other auction sites (e.g. previous transactions with positive feedback as a seller). I definitely agree with the "BROKER" comment!

I bought my 264 on gun broker. I sent the money the day I won and recieved my rifle within a week and a half. It was better than described and shoots like a dream. Just do the research as others have said.

I have bought and sold off the site many times never a problem. I also agree with the broker comment. Buying selling and trading rifles is good fun. Doug D

I've bought and sold on gunsamerica, gunbroker and auctionarms. I never got completely stung on a buy but I did have to return a few which means you are out shipping both ways and the FFL fee. Most of the time it works well. You just have to pay attention and do your due diligence.

I've made some good money selling and am proud to say I never got a gun back.

Again, use your head and be careful.

I have been to the well four times on gunbroker. All transactions went well and I got what I paid for. Nothing sensational, nothing bad. It just feels better to have the rifle you are buying in your hand when you reach for the wallet!

I caught someone stealing pics from other places and posting them on Gunbroker as their own guns for auction. I alerted the people who run the site. I had it set up so I could bust the person. I alerted all the people who bid on the items and told them not to send payment the same night they won their auctions. I saved, on average, these people about $1500 a piece. Instead of going along with me, the Gunbroker people simply posted in red letters to all that the seller was a fraud. I could have had this person arrested. I had all their personal info after pretending to buy a $7000BMG from them. Not only didn't the people give me a "thank you", they pretended that it was them that made the discovery and took credit for "saving" everyone. Kinda pissed me off. Never bid on anything from a seller with no feedback, and if it looks too good to be true, it just may be---2MG

Savage 110 LH 7mm-08 combo $300 in my hands
Browning A-5 American ('40's manuf) $250 in my hands
Beretta 1200FP $350 in my hands
Mossberg 500 combo $120 in my hands

That was all in a 2 month period.

Leupold 4x fixed scope $110 in my hands
Leupold 2x fixed IER scope $80 in my hands
Box of Lee reloading stuff (3 sets of dies, hand press, 4 cast bullet sizing kits, some other junk) $25 in my hands
500 Fiochii once fired hulls $15 in my hands
17 Rem 23" Contender barrel $150 in my hands
223 Rem 23" Contender barrel $100 in my hands

I think I'll stop now. It's starting to look like I spend too much time there.

I've bought and sold on gunbroker with no problems. I just bought a Japan A5 in nearly 100% condition from a place in Connecticut, and they went WAY out of their way to get the gun to me fast and help with the transfer. The gun was even better than they had described it. I can't remember their name on gunbroker, but it was Lebanon Sports, in Lebanon CT and I can't say enough good about them.
I've had similar results with other purchases off the site, but the A5 purchase was just an exemplary way for anyone to sell online. It's just like everything in life, you take a chance, but you will usually meet some very fine people.

The same for me. Do your homework and know what you are bidding on. If you aren't sure, ask for more info, pics, etc. Pay attention to their feedback.

I have bought two guns off of there. The first was pretty much as advertised, the second I have not received yet, but I know it is beat up and bought it anyway for a project.

One thing to consider, if it is a new gun, you have to figure in the shipping costs and transfer fee. I have noticed that because of that, new guns are hardly ever a deal on there. Both guns I bought were used.

Amen to that!

Maybe once out of 20 transactions something did not go just right, but it was my fault for not asking for more pictures and data on the item.

I sometimes find unusual items there. I've purchased a NIB Steyr Mannlicher carbine the was discontinnued in 1994 and a Heym SR 20 that was also new. I can never find those kind of exotics locally.
