Anyone heard anything regarding a new Kahles distributor ? I really like the lower powered non-illuminated models. I corresponded with Gamo a couple of times about trying to get a couple through them, much like talking to a corporate fence post.

It depends on which year you refer to. They seem to change all too often for me to take them seriously, IMO.

It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

I think it's SWFA now.

I called SWFA yesterday; the person I talked to, said they could not discuss the matter at this time (words to that effect). So, maybe still working the issue.
I think they would be a good choice. I have purchased several items from them in the past, including the low powered non-illuminated Kahles. To my eyes, these scopes are right with the Zeiss 30mm's, hopefully they maintain the previous price differential.
I had hoped Doug might have had an interest in the distributorship. But, I am sure that is much more of a pain than being a dealer.
Thanks for the reply.

In Gamo's defense I called to get some replacement caps for a Kahles and they were mailed to me free of charge w/in 4 days of the phone call. I just don't think they were quite ready for advanced customer service issues on real repairs etc.

I did not have any dealings with their customer service for repairs. My issue was that they only imported the higher magnification illuminated reticle scopes. And their responses to attempting to order lower powered non-illuminated models, was always polite, but pretty much corporate form letters. Which left me with impression that they really had no idea of what the Kahles offered in scope models.
