Kuiu has some pretty good discounts on outerwear. Unfortunately, the guide jacket is not available in L or XL.

Not shameless at all. That's a good price. Just too many X's for me. BTW, here's a link. http://shop.kuiu.com/outerwear-c4.aspxI was tempted to try a medium but I think I need a large. I'm 5'8" and 175 lbs. Does anybody about my size have one?

I'll probably try a large when the become available, but I think the sleeves will be too long. I've suggested to KUIU that they should reconsider the cut on the mediums so they have a bit more room under the arm area.

So at 6'4" and 210lbs, where would that put me? XL I was thinking. What would be the equivalent of the Sitka Kelvin jacket?

With the style "athletic cut", the sizes are very similar to the Sitka line. To properly layer for the very cold days, I bumped up to the 2XL from my normal XL.
I swear the designers must have skinny arms. I apparently spent one to many days in the gym cuz 16" forearms are pretty tight in these style jackets.

Just an FYI, I received my merino 250 from KUIU in the mail today. I am 6'0 180 and I ordered a large. The fit is perfect for me and I can't wait to wear it on my next hunt. I was excited to get a piece of their gear in my hands after reading everything I could find about them and their philosophies. I can only say I am very happy with the fit and finish of this shirt. If the intitial impression is anything like wearing it in the field, then I will be very happy.

I was going to initially pass on Kuiu this season as i did not have any out of state hunts planned.
i subscribed and followed the blog from day 1 and keep my eye on kuiu as probably my next clothing system for my western adventures.
this summer on a trip to napa with my wife we ran over to Dixon so i could check out the clothing first hand. i tried on a bunch of items, from the moment i first put them on i was most impressed with the pant.
i was also very impressed with the overall appearance and workmanship of the clothing line.
two weeks ago i booked a last minute elk hunt, luckly i was able to run down
guide vest guide jacket attack pant- 1 size too big merino 250 spindrift jacket chugach pant
overall i am very impressed with the system
so far my 2 favorite pieces are the spindrift and pant
i cant wait to put it throgh its paces on my hunt.

I had a chance to try on a medium guide jacket. Definitely too snug for 5-8, 175#.
