I have a #1A, 257 Roberts on the way. Been wanting a 257, really like the thought of it in the 1A. Cant wait for that little sucker to show up. Dies and brass should be here before the gun shows up, so will be ready to shoot it when it shows up.
I had a Liberty 22-250 with the most beautiful piece of wood that I just couldnt drag out coyote hunting, so it went down the road. Been wanting another #1, this one is gonna see alot of shooting and hunting.

This and the 6.5x55 have been two of my favorites of the last couple years. I am sure you will like it. I traded both of mine and really wish I had one of them back for deer this year.
good luck with yours.

Good deal Hawk. The Roberts was one that had my interest but the Swede won out. Although only a true rifle loony would notice a difference between the two cartridges on game. I hope you have fun with it this year.

Hey, have fun with the Bob!!! I have a K-1a in 257, and it's by far my most favorite single shot due to uncanny accuracy. I'm shooting 40 grains IMR 4350 with 100 gr Nosler BTs. It loves them!

I have the blue-walnut version. I like the 110AB and H100V in mine. I'm very fond of it, and I'm thinking you will be of yours. Post up some pics when it comes in and let us have a look. Hopefully you'll get some nice wood on it.
Good luck!
There is no accounting for taste.
Experience is a great thing as long as one survives it.
Generally, there ain't a lot that separates the two however, Barely making it is a whole lot more satisfying than barely not making it.

It showed up, pretty plain wood, nothing special. Groups were not all that good. While cleaning it the other day, I noticed some burrs in the barrel, right at the muzzle. Thinking those cant help the accuracy. Ruger is sending UPS tomorrow morning to pick it up. On a side note, the trigger is friggin great. Guess I will have to wait awhile to really enjoy it.

I hope it comes back with killer wood.
