My first gen sendero has found 2 loads that it really really likes.

First load is 180gr NBT with 94 grains of H1000

second is 180grain barnes TTSX with 92 grains

first load chronos 3340 over 10 shot average, second load i couldnt chrono because it was to dark, but i assume it would be 3180-3200 (barnes lists 92 grains as max load for this round, tried 92.3grains and group openend a bit, with no signs of pressure) most shots will be 300+ on big northern whitetails, bucks in the 250-325lb live weight range, does 150-225 live weight. Ive killed with the NBT and its no doubt effective, but the close shots on big deer worry me.

Do i go with the faster load, or do i not worry that its "only" at win mag velocity and shoot the TTSX.

My short range gun is a 7-08 with 140NBTS that kills like lightening at 2750fps with those bullets.

Here's my .02. I would be a little concerned about a Nosler Ballistic Tip traveling 3340fps. What's that bullet gonna do when it hits an animal at 200yds or less? If that TTSX is going 3200fps, that is faster than any 300 Win mag I've ever seen. My vote is for the TTSX + it's probably going faster than 3200fps.

7shooter has given you excellent advice...TTSX is a no brainer at the velocities you have given!

you think it would be that fast out of a 26" pipe? barnes lists the max load@ 3118 with the 180 grain TTSX out of a 24" pipe, i use the conservative 40fps a foot rule.

I know what the NBT does @ 330yrds on a mature doe, with 96grains of h1000@ 3400+fps.. it equals kabloooowee

Will it not shoot Accubonds or Bergers?

Regardless, if you have plenty of accuracy at .5 moa and plenty of velocity at even 3100 fps to do all you wat to do.

havent tried accubonds or bergers, i would assume it wouls shoot accubonds as they are very similar to NBT's. but I try to buy all of my supplies local to support my local economy and they dont seems to carry those, or retumbo for that matter. Might have to break down and place an order, but it will have to wait until after deer season, much to close to november to start more load development.

why take a RUM from a bullet that will hold up like the Barnes, to an explosive one like nosler or berger? Makes no sense to me at all.

Yup, sub the Accubond for the BT... I bet it'll shoot the same itty bitty groups and same POI. Presto, problem solved, and even the biggest whitetail wont stand a chance from point-blank out to 1000 yards.

I would think you should be close to 3200, but to be honest it's hard to know without shooting a couple across the screens but whatever you point it at will never know the difference, Your ready to hunt!

I'd do a shoot off at 500 yards and which ever gave the best accuracy.
I'd run it.
Wouldn't give it a second thought either.
No deer is going to stand up to a 180g NBT.
It dont matter how close it is.
The 180g NBT will be a bit messy compared to the TTSX at close range.
Either way, there dead.

the 500 yard shoot off sounds like a good idea. generally at that range and beyond im not really shooting for groups persay, im going for cold bore one shot accuracy on reactive targets, be it a steel gong, or my favorite a water jug.

Well, do the best of the best of cold bore one shot goodness at 500 then, same same.Doesnt have to be a group, persay.
I go back and forth on the solid copper vs. NBT all the time.
Lets say you make a really POOR shot.
ie.... straight up gut shot....it happens.
TTSX will give you a nice tracking job.
NBT will come unglued and make a much bigger mess and kill um faster.ALOT faster.
Flip side of a bad shot.
Best deer of your life.....I mean a real boonie is headed over the hill straight away from you as fast as he can go.
You got 3 seconds to make up your mind.
Usuing a NBT on a shot like this kinda turns my stomach.
TTSX.....plant one right under the tail and it'll come out his nose.
I struggle with it all the time.
Pick the one that shoots the best out of a one shot cold bore thing and have the confidence of knowing the bullet is going where you want it.

Accubond, the best for me in a 200gr with Retumbo

Doesn't make big holes on deer but hopefully will on an Elk someday.

OK 1/2 MOA at what distances?

Great you've got 2 real shooters but if you plan on going after shots farther than the average. You can not over look the ES of your 10 shot strings.

I'd chrony them both for 10 shots and take the lowest ES (as close to 10 fps) you can get lower even better.

When you do your chrony test again put the large target at 300 or even better 500 yards.
