Last night I saw a bushmaster patrol carbine at Wal Mart for $897. When did Wal mart start selling AR 15's?

Remember the good old Wal-Mart day's when you could walk in and buy a pistol? I'm not big on Wal-(China)Mart but thumbs up to them for this decision.

That's gotta be a regional thing. I am lucky if my wal mart sells .22's.

I have been seeing Ruger Mini14s and Remington 870 short barrel
shotguns at Walmart for the past month or so.

I don't think Walmart selling firearms is controlled by anything but if people buy them there or not. There ia a lot of other places to get various types of guns now, and I don't think a lot of people go to Walmart thinking to buy one. They are probably going to look somewhere else first.

Very regional. Every time I go into a rural Walmart Supercenter in SC (where I hunt) there are people handling rifles and sales happening, tons of ammo, and at least 15 guys in camo that hunted that morning.
In South Florida.....never have seen any of that.

Just looked it up and Walmart is the largest seller of guns and ammo in the United States. Even though only about 25-30% of the stores sell guns/ammo. Damn!
