Nope, not even close.
Post the warranty on the Elites. Swaro still has them bested.
Facts, are facts.
Never had a problem with any Bushnell binos (can't recall ever purposefully having a pair). Their scopes, and not cheap ones, yes... and busted more than a couple. Repair normally involved a run-around and eventually replacement with something worth a schit.

I didn't know Swarovski offered a "No Question Asked" full refund if you didn't like one of their products. Good to know.

Time period on that, and the warranty and practice upon tolling of said time from Bushnell makes a huge difference.
Of course, that requires reading the fine print.

I think that Bushnells making one now called the ARC anyone used it yet?
Dober I've got the Scout 1000 with Arc and love it. I ranged just a tad over 1100 yards with it one time and every dall sheep I ranged it worked too. I can't say that about the Leica's, I tried 2 different brand new CRF 1200's and they would not range a dall sheep at even 200 yards. I haven't tried the ARC feature yet but will next time I'm at the range.
That's ok, I'll ass shoot a dink.

I like my Bushnell elite 1500. It ranges accurately, consistantly, and is easy to hold steady. The units that are held horizontally rather than vertically seem easiser to hold steady to me.
While the glass my not be up to the quality level that the Alpha range finders are, it is definately serviceable.

I have a Swarovski that I bought used, as new with box and everything that comes with a new one for $700.00. They can be found at a decent price used. They are a little big, but i like it for the kind of hunting i do. I picked up a cool neoprene Cabelas case for it on ebay for about 5 bucks. Those cases are discontinued, but some dude has a bunch of them cheap.
I would not trade it for any other RF.
I have an older Nikon Monarch 800 RF that I retired to bowhunting.

Of course, that requires reading the fine print. Then you should read it instead of making basely claims. Still waiting for you to show me where Swarovski offers a full refund during the first year of ownership of one of their products.

Thx, I appreciate the info. I've had my Leica for a long time and hate to think of the day that it goes to Croak City Wyoming..
Dang, optics have gotten expensive!

Dober, So true! This stuff is getting crazy expensive. I love my Leica LRF 1200, and now after reading all of this, I hope nothing goes wrong with if for a LONG time.
I sure wish Leupold could make a LRF that is worth a look. Sure can't beat their CS!

Would I trade Leica 1200 LRF optics,to garner Bushy 1600 range determination increases?
Yep...because I use 'em to range, not gawk.............. I was extrapolating aloud,in that my 600 Bush, floored my 800 Leica in ranging ability. Were the 1600 as billed in it's ranging abilities,I'd happily trade the Leica view, for the Bushy's increase in performance that matters most to me...which is simply determining distance.
I'll make them "trade-offs" all day and every day..............

I don't think anyone can top Leupold's overall customer support.

Still waiting for you to show me where Bushnell will repair, replace, refurb ANY of their products, free of charge, after a decade or two of service, regardless of ownership or original purchaser, receipt, etc. Time period on that, and the warranty and practice upon tolling of said time from Bushnell makes a huge difference.

A Zeiss 8x26 Victory Rangefinder runs, what, $600? A Leica 7x24 CRF 1600 about $800. The Bushnell 7x26 Elite 1600 $500. The Leupold RX-1000i Rangefinder $350. I think it is a bargain for the money and it is certainly all the rangefinder most will ever need. They have come a very long ways from what was available eight years ago: Rangefinder Roundup (2003)

I've not had any of the Alpha RF's but I think I got the most ranging performance for the buck when I got a Bushnell 7x26 Elite 1500 off of Ebay. New, never registered, without box for $168 shipped. The unit just flat works.

You pay for good schit once.
You pay to replace bad schit, over and over.
An extra $150-350 is, what, half a week's pay, maybe?
Randy, you still haven't answered any direct questions about inducements, endorsements, and financial relationships to products or producers. Why is that?

When I had to ask an antelope hunter to borrow his Brunton 400 RF on a hunt because the pathetic Leupold GX I had was a total piece of crap, I swore off Leupold RF's.
