What the heck, if TRH wants to shower with a handgun, why not?

Well, I guess that's true too, but it's just fine where I have it. Don't see any practical advantage to actually bringing it in there with you.

I think it's a great idea to post something that makes everybody rant and rave.
It's the off season and we all have too much free time! laugh

In and of itself, while joining me in a chuckle about the topic was expected from the start, there's actually nothing to "rant and rave" about. Most here likely think it wise to keep a loaded weapon handy, and most understand the concern over rust in a high humidity environment like a bathroom where there's a shower running for a time every day. The extent to which vitriol has emerged, I'm afraid, is due to spill over from the Hunter's Campfire where politics are often discussed, and on a site dominated by neocons, outspoken conservatives tend to collect a long list of, shall we say, opponents. wink Opportunities to marginalize are pretty quickly pounced upon by these folks. In the old days of the Fire, that stuff was kept up there, however, and at least the handgun forum didn't see much if any spill over, but it seems those more genteel days of the Fire have passed us by.

Well said,
It works well for you and I have no problem with that.
I do get tired of the "you're doing it differently than me so you're a jerk" mentality...
I couldn't resist commenting any longer.

Nice, TRH.
I'm with you.
After I installed my shower gun I got to thinking.
"What if I'm underwater in the pool and the perps burst in?"
I now have another sealed 1911 tiestrapped to my pool drain.
Them tweekers will never know what hit'em.

You should at least consider an upgrade to freezer bags.
Just sayin'.

A gallon bag with a zipper allows for more control when lathered and you have enough room in the gallon bag to just reach in and shoot it without removing the pistol, thus saving life saving seconds.

You guys are failed to realize the obvious tactical awesomeness of the gallon zipper bag on your own. You have suck at all things pistolcraft, I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your souls.

I actually knew one guy who had just got out of his shower, when he heard a crink of hubcap being stolen off his Cadillac. He threw his apartment door open, with a .41mag in hand...still naked from the shower, and yelled "stop!".

The thief laughed hysterically, and walked away with the hubcaps.

What if you have soap in your eyes and can't read to know which one to shoot and which one to reload? Amateur!

And clean your shower, man. Dang!

1. The shower is clean. That is a frosted window to outside.

2. Sandwich bag reloads can be stashed throughout the bathroom and shower allowing one to strategically fight their way out.
i.e. behind the conditioner, in the toilet tank, under the sink, in the medicine cabinet.

Man you guys need to apply some TRHitude.... grin
