are you that paranoid? you think they're coming for you in the shower?

of course, if Janet Leigh had had one of those, she might be alive today.

The_Real_Hawkeye: There was an early morning burglar that capered for MANY years in the Tacoma to Ft. Lewis area of Washington state.
He would slink around casing homes and would return in the early morning as the occupant was in the shower and then he would kick in a door or force a sliding door - he could tell the occupant was showering because in the cool high humidity mornings of the Pacific Northwest the shower exhaust fan would emit a tall easily visible cloud of hot water vapor!
Said burglar would always look for the purse or the wallet and one or two other items to hit and run with!
Like I say he got away with it for a LONG time until one morning he capered at a guys house that was bathing and he heard the entry.
The would be "victim" went and fetched his pistol and held the felon for the police.
Do you envision a similar crook in your neighborhood?
Because in 29 years of LE work that was the only dedicated "shower time" burglar I had ever heard of.
Be prepared is always a good motto - come to think of it.

Yep. It's fast. Two v-shaped cuts, one on either side, with black magic marker indicating where to tear.

That's how I figure it, too. Costs nothing to be prepared. Could cost a whole lot not to be.

Why don't you seal a revolver in a bag loose enough to shoot through?

I'd think a pistol in a Tupperware container would be a lot more accessible... and just as waterproof. While I applaud preparedness in all things, I can't help but think that tearing open a vacuum-sealed bag with wet, and possibly soapy hands may take some doing while standing buck naked under the spray of a shower.

Of course, I could be wrong.

What is it with you guys who repeatedly reference movie scenes when talking about self-defense guns and tactics? Is it a problem differentiating fantasy from reality?

TRH - two words....Pelican Case.
