The real Ti's have a j-lock, mine did have one. I ordered an aluminum pin and shroud from PT&G to replace mine.
I paid $800 for mine and I thought I got quite the deal.
When I die I hope I don't start voting democrat.

Just funking with ya'll, I do not have the technical savvy to do it but it was a good thought. Hopefully the OP ran back and snagged it.

The J lock was put on them just to give you an excuse to install an aftermarket lightweight shroud/firing pin and shave off a couple more ounces

my buddy who looked at it today said it had a hairline 1.5 inch crack in the stock near the front action screw...not into the hole but beside it....it spooked him but I have not seen it...will see it tomorrow and decide...

For that price, even if you have to replace the stock you'll be into it for cheap. You REALLY should buy it first thing in the morning!!!

Sorta like Smith & Wesson revolvers.
Older ones...........no lock. newer ones...........lock.(Damn the lawyers)
Not really a tough concept to handle.
If there is any proof of a man in a hunt it is not whether he killed a deer but how he hunted it.

Update....I bought the rifle today....It does have a crack in the stock in the magazine area....I think that the action screws were tightended too much and the magazine box cracked the bottom of the stock (it is really thin in that area). I had the gunsmith take about 1/16 to 1/32 off the bottom of the metal magazine box and I will put a little JB Weld in the bottom of the stock and I think it will be ok....should not affect shooting...it has a very large "bump" near the end of the forearm in the barrel channel and I will shoot it first and then grind that away and free float the barrel if need be.... Thanks to all of you for your advice....will let you know how it shoots...ps put a leupy 3-9 on it.....
