Kick the friggin' FG on 3rd, so if something happens, you can fall on it, and line up again on 4th.

Neither team was very impressive tonight. The OkState/K-State game was a gunfight. I doubt 'bama will fall far. Miles' statement was pure class, though.

No doubt there have been better games, but in the end, the Tigers 'got r done!' In all due respect, Bama played a good game. These teams looked pretty well matched and the score reflected it IMHO. Saban looks like he needs a stiff drink. There will be some serious celebration going on in Louisiana...and by LSU fans all over.

Who's going to be impressive against those defenses? Nobody. There were 8 NFL defensive backs in the game.

VA - I thought the very same, Miles has alot of class when those moments happen, he knows to respect a formidable coach and team. Miles seems to have top character himself. Time for a cold beer to celebrate. Enjoyed the thread gang.

Neither team impressive? East coasters... Laffin There were more licks passed in 1 series of this game than in the entire OK State game. Some folks don't appreciate defense, but that is the reason SEC teams continue to win National Championship after National Championship. LSU was lucky. They were very limited in their passing game since Lee choked like a dog on a chicken bone. If both go undefeated from here on out, these 2 should play again for the National Championship IMO.

Contrast that with the 4th-and-goal end of the 52-45 game between OkState and K-State. And, yes, there were a LOT of NFL defensive players on the field in Tuscaloosa tonight. Those two defenses are simply incredible. Brad Wing for LSU (the punter) damned well ought to get the MVP nod and game ball from Miles tonight. If he didn't pin 'bama deep every time (except that one squib), LSU probably would have lost the game. And, you have to feel for the kicker from Alabama. Four misses, all from long range, and any one of them would have made the difference.

Bama has a lot they can look back on and think WTF were we doing/thinking in this game. The missed field goals, the call to keep kicking field goals, and the penalties in OT that cost them a chance at even a decent FG. At half I was thinking LSU is lucky to be where they were after their performance and the bungles by Alabama. But I'll take it, after watching that game I would have double ticked if we lost.
Otto is my co-pilot.

You are gonna miss a large percentage of your field goals when you attempt 50 yarders... It ain't like they were driving down the field and missing chip shots. Don't know that you can call them missed opportunities when there was very little chance of success to begin with. Gambling is a better word.

I actually made that suggestion earlier... only half joking.

Funny you kept complaining about the LSU/'bama game, but kept watching, whilst OKState and K-State racked up 97 points between them. Hmmm....

It was funny. It's always fun to mess with SEC homers.
