Never EVER buy your first pre-64 Winchester: There was a time when I had no Winchesters. Then I got this puppy: Then this happened: Now look at me: Get out while you can and considered yourself warned.

Now go shop for a M21 in 16 or 20 gauge!

Don,
I see a percussion front loader above the door. What is it? Thanks.

I know what you mean. I've lost count of mine, from pre-war 94s and 70s, post-war 94s and 70s, to a Winchester 1890 .22 Short. Just something about them. I have a Chinese replica of an 1897 Trench Gun, too. Would like the real one, though. PS Back in the early 1980s, there was a find of thousands of these 1897 Trench Guns (maybe they had been in storage in South Korea), and a huge glut of them suddenly appeared on the US surplus market. Military surplus style gun shops had hundreds of them for $100.00 a piece (including one matching bayonet), packed in cosmoline. I remember looking at them, and thinking about picking one up, then deciding not to. I didn't know much about them back then, and to my eyes then they just looked like old pieces of junk. I wish I could send a message to myself back then to pick up a dozen of them at that price and put them in storage for the 2011 me.

I don't have any 94s , but I do have a Model 64 , and would like a 55 and a 94. I can't collect on a large basis , but would like a couple more at least. At one time I would not have considered buying any used guns , but in the last few years I have become increasingly interested in used guns.
Everything I say to you is a lie , and that is the truth.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA
