Was at the range Saturday in prep for Illinois deer season later this month. After sighting-in the muzzle loader I switched to my BUG (back-up gun) ... a Ruger Super Blackhawk, Bisley 7/2" bbl in .45 Long Colt. I use it for inside 50 yds if the deer gives me the opportunity. The handloads are 300 gr LFP pushed by 23gr of H-110. I love the "BOOM" and they are pleasantly accurate.

Kimber Custom II with the Rimfire Target conversion is getting a lotta love from me. If a handgun goes to the range, it's typically this one.

I got this 44 Special in March and have had a lot of fun working up loads for it. As previously mentioned, I carry it often. It shoots very well and isn't fussy about what it's fed. ![[Linked Image]](http://i861.photobucket.com/albums/ab176/larrykay47/1e05110d.jpg)

Most recently it's been a Ruger Mk II 5 1/2" bull barrel with a Burris Fastfire and a Ruger Mk III Target model, the 6 7/8" one with the slab side barrel. Can't say I like the look of that slab side but it does cut some weight from the long, otherwise heavy barrel profile, and handles very well. That long sight radius sure makes it easy to hit stuff precisely.
Not much to add about the 5 1/2" bull barrel that hasn't already been said, probably one of the finest versions Ruger has made for a great, low cost, super accurate do-it-all pistol.
Gunnery, gunnery, gunnery. Hit the target, all else is twaddle!

Pretty pedestrian for me. Thank goodness, the short gun bug hasn't bit me like the long gun. But these pretty well cover my needs. Top and going counter-clockwise, S&W .22 Airlite, J-frame S&W .357, Sig .357 Sig (with .40 S&W barrel), Ruger RH 45 Colt, tuned.

TRIGGERNOSISI got it here @ Arizona Arms --- good guys to deal with. http://www.davidsonsinc.com/consumers/subsites/dealer_home.asp?dealer_id=479138This was a Distributor exclusive (TALO) so I'm not sure about current availability, but at the time this outfit had some at a fair price. I should add that I bought the Elk antler grips from a grip maker. The Flattop came with black, plastic grips which also worked fine.

Today I enjoyed shooting three handguns, 1) an early 1960s Colt Government Model, 2) a Kahr P-9, and 3) A Charter Arms Bulldog .44 Special with Pachmayr grips. It was my first time shooting this particular Bulldog (this one's double action only, with no hammer spur), although I had one back in the 1980s (same grips) that I liked very much. I was surprised at how mild the recoil was from such a light gun, however I wasn't happy with my groups at fifteen yards. I did MUCH better with both the Government Model and the Kahr. Guess I need to practice a bit more with the Bulldog. I certainly grouped well enough to be deadly with it at that range, though.

Cool thread, great photos, everyone. Lately I've been burning up my .45ACP ammo supply with these two: ![[Linked Image]](http://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr342/Armen_020/Misccameraphotos014.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](http://i498.photobucket.com/albums/rr342/Armen_020/August2010photos009.jpg)

I have been shooting a lot of .45 ACP and .45 Colt lately but just picked up a Colt 1911 .22 and an old Colt .32-20 double action revolver to go with my old Marlin 32-20 lever action. Those two handguns should be a bucket full of fun.

These are the 4 handguns I shoot the most, but I'm not a big handgun guy. SA 1911, Glock 30, Beretta 92 and my Ruger Single Six. As you can tell I'm all over the map with handguns.
Otto is my co-pilot.

Picked this 3" Model 10-7 up earlier this year. Great shooting gun that carries well.
