I have have a Remington 700 Sendero with a sheered off sling stud in the stock. I live in Austin, TX and need a good gunsmith. Any suggestions?

Seems like a fairly easy fix. Another option is to mail off the stock only to a reputable smith. Though I think you can do it locally, or even yourself.

McBride's has been there a long time, and my good friend speaks highly of them.

I've used Robert Bueltel, he has built me 2 rifles...both exceptional workmanship. He was the head gunsmith at McBrides for years, then was with Sportsmans finest....then was doing some work out of his home. Unfortunately, I think he is tired of the people aspect of his trade and is no longer doing work for the public.

I bet $10 at Ace could get you one of those drill bits that backs out stripped screws. Might work depending on how much bite you could get.
your flippant remarks which you so adeptly sling
