Went to Pike Co. on a bow hunt in October 07. You and your father are in for a treat. Plenty of fine ones walking in those cut corn fields. Sure wish I had a shotgun in my hands on many occasions during that hunt. I understand why its hard to sit still long! Good luck!

Had last Friday off and put up our stands in Pike Co. We were making lots of noise and still flushed four deer (one two yr old buck). Will be there again on Thursday. laugh

I'm heading to White Co. tomorrow for the firearm season, great hunting up there. I have a friend who has been there all last week and he says it's starting to really happen. The corn was out of the fields by last friday, they're cutting beans now. I am looking foward to it to say the least smile

Good luck guys.

I will be out in the woods on Saturday, seen plenty of them around, we'll see what happens when the shooting starts.

I have done some work up in Pike County before and have ran into some big ones. I hunt Macoupin County and the other year my buddy took a couple of nice ones with a bow.

Good luck to all....hope to share and hear some good stories next week. Just spoke to a friend hunting not too far away in Missouri....he tagged a mid 150's buck yesterday...told me the rut is in full swing and we should be hitting it right on the money....weather will be decent, moon should be right.
