I'd actually been trolling around for a nice little .223 bolt gun but inadvertently ran into a Palmetto State Armory lower at a price I couldn't let slide. Now I've got to figure out something to pair it with. I'm not really looking for a SHTF piece as I've got that elsewhere. Still, I'm not looking for a pure plinker either. I weighting accuracy more than trying to have it save my life in a battle but spending a little for something I expect to work isn't something I'm afraid of doing, I just don't have a need to drop top dollar on the project.
I guess the best "what do I want to do with it" answer would best be served by "walking varminter". Light enough to tote pretty well while making at least a genuine effort to keep the bullet holes snuggled nicely with most ammo.*
*This is my first .223 anything and I'm wanting to lean towards the 5.56 chambers for ammo availability though that might hurt accuracy I'm told with .223. Wylde chamber perhaps?
If there's one thing I've become certain of it's that there's too much certainty in the world.

I purchased a Red X Arms complete upper assembly: A3 flattop, floated handguard, 20" stainless bull barrel. I'm just tickled to death with it. It shoots!! Jayhawk Dan

Hi Guy-- Take a look at Red X Arms. Their stuff is of the highest quality and Neil is great to deal with by e-mail or on the phone. I love the upper I purchased from them, and it is a real shooter!! Let me know if you have any questions or need more details after you've visited their Web pages. Jayhawk Dan

Jayhawk Dan No problem and thanks for the reply. I'll give Red X a look.
