If that AK top cover is the ribbed kind I will take it.

By ribbed do you mean with a top rail?
If so; then yes, it is ribbed. It has the scope rings with it too.

Sounds like it is the kind that has a scope base made onto it. If it is I will let someone else have it. The one I'm looking for has three or four little raised ribs across the top of the cover but not for scope rings to attach to. About halfway down the page is a ribbed topcover. http://www.ak47world.com/parts.html

Have a rough inletted/finished walnut stock for a Savage Model 24, 20 gauge/.222 that I forgot I had untiul I moved three weeks ago. Problem is that I sold the rifle two years ago! Anybody who pays the shipping, or picks it up here in Pittsburgh, is welcome to a real pretty piece of wood.

Nope - but I did just find a .45 caliber rifle barrel that I didn't know I owned. It is also free for anyone who comed to pick it up or pays the shipping.

I am interested in this if it is still available, I will pay it forward with a box of 28 gauge shotgun shells missing two or three rounds if they can be shipped. If ammo can't be shipped I'm sure I have something else to pay forward.

Ammunition must be shipped separately from packages that contain firearms (including handguns). Ammunition will be transported only when packaged and labeled in compliance with 49 C.F.R. 172 regarding hazardous materials shipments, and must be shipped in accordance with the UPS Guide for Shipping Ground and Air Hazardous Materials

. FedEx Ground will transport small-arms ammunition, when packed and labeled in compliance with local, state and federal law, and the Hazardous Materials section of this tariff

That covers USPS, UPS, and FedEx. Dont really know if there is a fee or not but obviously you must mail it differently than most things. Like I said "I think" i dont really know, never shipped any ammo.

I have..quite a bit. And everytime the UPS guy/girl picked it up, I told them the package needed and "ORM D" tag/sticker because I was shipping ammo. As far as THAT being the EXACT "legal" protocol, I don't know. But I've not had any rejected or returned.

Well thanks for the info guys, if anyone wants the 28 gauge ammo, let me know and I will see what has to be done at the local fed ex. They have been taking up space because my gf bought those instead of 20 gauge and walmart doesn't have a return on ammo
