If Roger doesn't go, you (or somebody else) could also catch a ride with me, as I'm coming out of Houston. Extended cab with cushy seats, so the passenger can recline & snooze to his content.

...need to figger out what sorta interesting smokepoles to take...

I am going to take my Model 94 30/30. The only thing I've shot with it so far is paper so it needs to be deflowered, so to speak. blush I might also bring along my National Match AR. What's everyone else bringing?

Assuming it shoots straight, a Savage 1920. The vintage scope for it is on the way to me. Also, probably the AR10 & its carbine upper, for if it rains.

Unless of course, I buy something else in the meantime. grin

No side arm? No 15" blade for close work?

Some will shoot inside the first two hours of the first day. Let me assure you you won't need to bring books or arrange sightseeing tours to fill the voids.

The comraderie and fun in camp is 95% of the enjoyment. A hog on the wall or in your freezer is simply a bonus. During our last trip,I counted no less than 1,143 lies and boasts just during happy hour.

PS....Happy hour runs from 5pm Thursday till Sunday morning!

Yes sir...isn't too much I wouldn't do for Pat. I can't offend him with a gift of non-alcoholic beverages though. The man cooks gourmet for us and I'd hate to put the screws to that benefit.

He'll appreciate that for sure.

Just think if KG and STX all are able to join, all cooking will be taken care of. Makes me think I'm not smart for not joining the group. Lots of good people and lots of fun to be had. 3 full days, hell that's what a motel cost daily plus your going to get to hunt.

Bob does not have to give Pat any non-alcoholic brandy because Pat steals my full power brandy. He then complains the next morning that I made him drink it.

And once again I'm a victim. And don't get no respect!!
