I think I'll be able to finish the floors this weekend if I can make good progress. Maybe not, but it will give me a head start on what I need over Christmas break.
I (we) need to put the pannels on the box sides too. That will be a bigger project for another day. I also need to order cab corners. I'll do that before I go up next.

That stinks. You can't say it wasn't coming though. That has been rumored for a few years now.
Is it just going to close?

Is it just going to close? WAUSAU- Wausau Paper says it plans to close its Brokaw mill by March 31, putting about 450 people out of work. The Mosinee-based papermaker said Wednesday it has approved the sale of its premium print and color paper division to Neenah Paper. That sale is expected to be finalized by Jan. 31. Neenah Paper plans to incorporate the work now being down at the Brokaw mill into its plants in Appleton, Neenah and Stevens Point. The mill's shutdown will affect about 450 hourly and salary workers. The Wausau Daily Herald reports Wausau Paper recently said it was looking to sell both the division and the mill, but would consider other options

That news out of Wausau is just all too common in the midwest anymore....and the number of jobs affected will triple that do to the trickle down...Sad news indeed.

I did a bunch of work for the town of Brokaw. They built a subdivision up the hill from the mill because they wanted to expand the mill. In order to do so they'd have to buy the houses in town, so they built the sub-div, so the folks could have land to build on....guess that isn't happening.

We're gonna try. I got working at home tonight and it got late on me so I'm going to head to camp in the morning. In the old truck with it's new starter, air cleaner, carb gasket, fuel filter, oil change etc...

Sweet.
She's gonna be a cold one here. 5* tonight, I imagine it's quite a bit colder up that way.

Congrats! I haven't seen a deer yet but I've only been at it since Nov 5. So, just a little over a month so far. I should see one any time now....

I don't know how you guys hunt in that cold weather. Wearing 50 pounds of clothing in 20F weather I can't take but about an hour before I have to find(or build) a fire.

Negative 6.5 degrees this morning, I'm headed to camp for our last weekend of deer hunting.
Later fellers.

Less than nothing degrees..... That's awesome! We'll get that freezer filt with fish instead of that elusive & finicky venison!

I've been hearing everywhere from 10" to nothing depending on the location. A bunch of people have been going out over the pine island area but one Geo did go thru as well. I need a little more cold weather before I drive out there (I don't like walking . It is a strange lake that never freezes over very evenly. Nice cold nights with no snow cover so it's all happening fast now.

websterparish, 20 degrees here is now a warm front and shorts weather! In all honesty, 20 degrees is good hunting weather. as the temp drops below 20 degrees, one hopes the wind isnt howling too hard. When you get down toward that 0 degree mark, it gets hard to hunt for very long if it is windy. if it is calm, 0 is plenny doable.
But then again, most of us would melt in your summers. Don't know how you do that.
What you do today is important, you are trading a day in the rest of your life for it.
