Just bought a LIKE new blue/walnut mountain rifle in 280 Rem caliber for $450 delivered. And it's a BDL - not a DBM. I have wanted one of these in this caliber since I was a kid. Can't wait to get it. Already have some Talley Ltwts waiting and a Leupold 6x42. Will give an update when it's ready to run. Just need some dies and brass.

I bought one of those in 1992 used it for a couple seasons and proceeded to sell it to my Dad when something else caught my eye. He has used it for all his big game hunting. Great gun and great snag.

Uh, from the pictures it seems to have rust under the front scope base, hence the price. I will take it off your hands

I have one in .280 that has been bedded. It shoots the Federal OTS 150gr NPs into 3/4" three shot groups if I do my part.

Had a 7x57 that shot 160 partitions really well. Great little rigs and that is a fine price.

I have one in a 7x57 now that shoots well also. In fact I have had good luck with all 3 Mountains rifle's I've owned. The last was a 308.

wanna make $5? the easy way?  I may send it to Ray Montgomery to set it back a little and AI it! But with all the talk about SAAMI 280 AI versus old 280 AI....not sure if I need all the trouble for the few extra fps.

Hey, Carlos. How's the hunting been? Not too great on our lease. Passed on a big-bodied 7 pt and will no doubt shoot him if I see him again. Other than that, I've seen a spike and a few young does. Trailer is doing great.

I've got its little brother in 7-08, found in a pawn shop, minty condition, subtract the scope value and I was in it for about the same money as yours. Used it a month later and between our party it killed 5 antelope. Nice rifle for sure.
