After reading all the drama about the changes to the 280AI spec in custom rifles, I drug out a couple pieces of brass for demonstration purposes. Case on the left is an unsized fired case, shot with 63.5 grains of RL19 and 120 TSX. Case on the right is a virgin Nosler 280AI case. Hope this clears up some questions.

I've had a couple people asking about groups, so here are some pics. These are all at 100 yards. The first one is a "ladder test", shot with 162 Amax and RL22. Really, it's just me shooting one shot at each load, in order to find pressure signs, so I know how far I can go. This is 7 shots in half grain increments from 59 to 62 grains. I was in a hurry, trying to shoot this rifle and a 7SAUM before a hunt, and those 7 shots were probably shot in about 60-90 seconds. It was dark enough that I couldn't see holes in the paper, so all I did was check primers for flattening/cratering between shots. Second one is 3 shots with the 120TSX and 63.5 grains of RL19. I measure it at .635. Third is a 162 Amax 3 shot group shot with 60.5 grains of RL22. I measure it at .748 outside edge of the holes, which comes in at .464 by my math.

How many rounds? Weight?
Very nice rig.

7lbs, 10.5oz as shown with 6X42 Leupold, Talley LW's, and BC caps.
Don't know the exact round count, as I bought the barrel used. I have about 200 rounds through it as is, but I bought the barrel here from a guy that described it as "very low round count".
