I was once a flamin' liberal of sorts.....still have a few things that some might consider horrific moral/political views...but it wasn't until I sat down at the table of an open-minded conservative that I was able to walk away a little more balanced in nature.
Close-minded ppl are tiring, regardless of their political views. Balance does most ppl a service.

I for one would never allow a liberal to eat at my table or warm up by my stove even. I would freeze them out. I would make them fend for themselves and not raise a hand to support them, until they prove to me that they have gotten control of their minds again. I would never turn someone away from my table or my fire because of their views. God gave us his one and only son to a broken and confused world; because He loves us. So how could we turn someone away when instead we could model His love and compassion and possibly win that person over. It's very easy to reflect the negative we see and are exposed to every day. I would never turn someone away from my table or my fire because of their views. God gave us his one and only son to a broken and confused world; because He loves us. So how could we turn someone away when instead we could model His love and compassion and possibly win that person over. It's very easy to reflect the negative we see and are exposed to every day. It's much tougher to take the high road and love our neighbors (and families), regardless of where they stand.
Mart Well said Mart. If two people agree 100% on everything one of them is unnecessary. It is difficult but to do, but we need to extend the same grace to others that God has given to us.

Would you disown a family member that supports the Obama Regeime?
Or would you still allow them to come to the table and eat with you?
How strongly do you feel about your convictions to the nation compared to those of your family members that are insane? FIL is a true blue liberal to the core. Lives in the upstairs bedroom and helps out a lot with the boy child.

My only sister voted for Obama, and I break bread with her...mainly because I have no faith in the whole election system, so I figure it doesnt matter very much.....

luckily no one in my family is that stupid. did have friend that back in 2004 got on my nerves with his bush bashing so i cold cocked him. sad really, think i was the last friend he had.

I would never allow a liberal to have any degree of influence over a child, even if it was only to have them making their toast or tucking them in bed. It is just to evil to no protect your children there hugajackass. I think you will live to regret your decision one day.
And...yes he is a typical "true blue liberal to the core" if he is living off you. Very Typical indeed. At least you recognize that much, so mayhaps there is a shadow of hope for you.
Luckily I have not had to turn anyone away from my stove and the table is always set with food for them to eat. All the people I know hate liberals.
