Cut a garlic , whole bulb in and rub then simple salt and cracked pepper, and grilllets the taste of the beef shine.my only other way I like to make them is in a slow cooker layered with a mix of some brown sugar 1/4c ,ketchup 1c, 1/2tbs chille podwer,.1/2 tsp cumin, a handful of raisins, roasted red peppers out of a jar and a large sweet onion ..
So from the bottom its a thin layer of onion. a layer of meat, top with sauce, and repeat till u have 4 good layersu could do this in the oven in a 9x13 type pangood eatsdont eat them here much @ 3.99 or > a pound

Around here, a recipe for beef short ribs would be about as useful as a recipe for mastadon short ribs. Where do they go that they aren't ever marketed?

I've had good luck with a simple rub of salt and pepper , or montreal seasoning . Then some hours on the smoker .

Ps . If you transfer to a pan durring the smoking , make sure to save the juices . cool
