On a guess I would say 600 or so, what choke, rib, model?

Yep, all three of those have an effect on price.
I sold a M12 16-gauge in 90-95% condition a couple of years ago for $600. It was the standard model without a rib, but it had the seldom-seen 26" barrel with modified choke.

I've heard they go for less than the 12's because of the low popularity of the 16. I paid 275 for mine, but she is well used. Shoots great though.

However, 12ga and 16ga are mostly in the $400 - $500 ( + or - ). At $275 you got a great shotgun at a great price.

16-gauge Model 12's usually sold at lower prices than 12-gauges for many years, but in the past few years prices have been creeping up, and often sell for more now--partly because 16's are built on the 20-gauge action and so are lighter than most 12's.
There's also a style thing going on. The 16 is an in-gauge among some shotgun loonies, mostly because it isn't common.

Yup. I got pretty good at shooting the high 8 holding my 16 like a handgun. Very light compared to the 12 my grand daddy left me.

This gun has almost no blueing and a few chips in the stock. I still think I did alright though. The real deal was the model 24 Remington the guy sold me for 50 dollars when I came to pick up the model 12.
