Phil,

It is impossible for you to look more like a pure Michigander than you do right there. Damn I love Michigan! Great job.

Took this small 8 point this morning with my 99 A .375 winchester . One shot to neck exited out the top on the opposite side not much meat loss . All of the blood is from where I cut him to bleed out . Tom [Linked Image]

Thats the archery target, at camp! its been shot at bunch! and even hit a few times! grin we bow hunted a few days before the gun opener, one spike and a 6pt. were taken, gun, one doe, 2 spikes, a 6pt and the 10pt. out of 11 hunters, I had the only Doe tag, and hunted south of the other guys on the opener, at my place!

Shot this boar hog last night. 308EG from '55, 150 corlokts, about a 50 yard shot, hit him between the eye and the ear. I hate these [bleep] things. The damage they do is amazing, we shoot every one we see. This one filled up my tailgate, prolly 225 on the hoof.

Here's this seasons haul. All I got was a 2 day hangover for a 7 day party. One 7 pt, three 5 pointers and a mistake (fawn). The guy that got the three five pointers moved his stand to about 250-300 yds from where mine is and cut me off bigtime, thats o.k., I'll make damn sure that tree gets hit by lightning before next year, trust me. Besides, I felt bad for him, he got 15 points with three bucks and I got 16 points with one buck last year so I couldn't whine to much.

Everybody gets one buck tag each and theres a lottery to turn your buck tag into an "antlerless" tag. We just count up how many bucks and doe tags we have total and throw them on the table when you come into camp. Shoot a buck put a buck tag on it, shoot a doe, put a doe tag on it. We try not to shoot does. It's a party tag system up here, even if we only have one buck tag left all 7 of us can hunt on it.
