I'm looking for a low power scope for an M1A and possibly the same scope to be used on a 30-30. Would like it illuminated and not a bank breaker, ideas? Needs to be quick, going to be used for hog hunting.

The 1" model 1-4 Trijicon is really nice, pricey but nice.
For non illuminated the Leupold 1.5-5, or their 1.5-5 illuminated for more $$ are proven performers.
The discontinued Burris Signature Select 1.5-6x40mm Illuminated dot was an awesome scope.

Both of those rifles cry out for a Scout Scope, either the Leupold 2.5x or the Burris 2.75x. Leupold sells a 1-4x Scout through the custom shop. XS makes the mounts.

There is the 1x4 VX-R. I shoot with an Elite 4200 1x4x24mm Ill Dot on my calling rig for out here on the coast, I like it. http://swfa.com/Bushnell-125-4x24-Elite-30mm-Rifle-Scope-P48249.aspx
After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I like that scope but as with all scopes you get what you pay for, anything a little less costly?
