got a nice eating freezer buck with my new custom 260 Rem 130 gr. Barnes Triple Shock X @ 2840 fps. 150 yard heart shot, dead on impact, damn near did a back flip.

Nice deer Tod, good shape too. What load? I am going to use the 120 tsx this season just to see what I can see.

Have not tried the TSX's in my .260....the BT's have worked well for me in the past and I just don't really feel there is any reason to change...nice deer though and I'll bet he'll eat good....what do you have planted there?

Congrats Todd! Nice buck.
Tell us about your 260: What stock, what barrel. Also interested in the load your using. Have you tried the 129g Hornady in that rifle? Any chance you've tried the exact same load (powder and weight and primer) with the 129g Hornady and the 130g TSX? If so, how did the velocities compare?
I received some 120g TSX 2 or 3 weeks ago from RickBin when I ordered a scope but haven't tried them yet. Since I don't need to worry about impact velocity with the TSX, I want the fastest, accurate load I can find. Would love to find an accurate load around 3,000 fps but don't know if that is possible. (Actually, I'm using a 260 AI but with a 22" barrel it's very similar to the standard 260 with 24" barrel)
Just tried Hunter with the 120g Nosler BT. 45.0g was very accurate and velocity was 2,830 fps. That works fine for the BT....but I would like more velocity with the TSX. Who knows what charge would be accurate with the TSX. Hunter might work since the powder balls are so tiny it seems to give good load density.
Nosler manual shows 3,049 fps using 48.0g of VV-N560 using the 120g BT (100% load density). Also shows 2,980 fps using 47.0g RL-19 (with 98% load density). Maybe you could go up to 48.0g of RL-22 with the BT but not sure you could with the TSX since it's longer.
A promising powder is H-4350. Nosler does not list a load for H-4350 but does list one for H-414 with 45.0g giving 3,005 fps. If you look at these 2 powders in several manuals, you will notice that typically max loads of H-4350 are 1g above max loads of H-414. That puts a max load of H-4350 around 46.0g and maybe that would fit underneath the 120 TSX. Using the 120g Pro Hunter and 45.5g of H-4350 my 260 AI gets 2,950 fps and prints 3/8" - 3/4" groups.
Would love to hear others experience with 120g or 130g TSX and the powder they are using.

The load I shot the deer with was a 130 gr. Barnes Triple Shock X over 43.0 grains of H4350. R-P case and Winchester WLR primer. Chrony average is 2840 fps. Accuracy is good enough, 1.5" 3 shot @ 200 meters. what do you have planted there? thats alfalfa Remington m700 SA blueprinted Ted Gaillard stainless fluted barrel, 23" long, 1-8" twist rate Bell & Carlson light varmint stock w/ R3 pad Leupold dual dovetail mounts Leupold VXII 3-9x40mm matte scope weighs about 8 lbs with the scope. I love this rifle. I HAVE actually used the same load with the 129 gr. Interlock as I have with the 130 gr. TSX 43.0 grs H4350, the speeds with the Interlock are 2799 fps avg, with the Triple Shock they run 2840 fps. In my rifle, 45.0 grs. H4350 and the 125 gr. Nosler chrony @ 2950 fps and shoot to the same point of impact at 200 meters as the 130 gr. TSX

Good job. I guess those .264 caliber bullets can kill stuff ...grin.
It's 92 here today, kind of hard to think about hunting, but this HELPED.

Ted Gaillard in Saskachewan did the action work and installed one of his barrels here's another unlucky buck that fell to my 260 tonight, a friend used my rifle to take this 2x2 mulie. 128 yard high lung shot that nicked the spine with the 130 gr. tsx. BANG-FLOP!

That is a pretty rifle, but it might look even prettier in a pink/purple/white McSwirly.
What contour is the barrel?

Is that a Remington factory synthetic, and, if so, is your 260 barrel the same counter as the factory light varmint barrel?

Congratulations, Todd,
What a perfect deer rifle. Makes me wonder why Remington didn't make the LVSF in .260 Remington. Seems like an absolute natural.

Why didn't they make the 700 BDL, CDL, or SPS in 260? Because they're are killing it by neglect! The limited run of 700 ADL synthetics that they made in 257 and 260 sold out very quickly, so you'd think they'd get a clue, but........

Here of late Remington listens to bean counters and not the people who buy guns and shoot. Thats why I just bought a CZ 22 and a Stevens 200 in .223. No more Big Green for my money till they get their head out of the gound.
Just my .02
