My dad gave me some of his guns to sell for him and one is an old Savage Fox Model B 12 ga. sxs. Needless to say it is well used. The gun functions fine but the right barrel has a bulge in it about halfway down and the forearm screw has been tightened too many times and it has stripped out some of the wood so the forearm doesn't tighten down all the way. I'm going to list his guns locally but I don't have a clue what to ask for this one with it being in that condition. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

With a buldge, it's most likely a parts gun. It's easier to fix a dent than a buldge. Sounds like a "Crackerbarrel" gun to me. You can fill the wood with Acraglass and probably tighten the forend, if that matters.
Not many problems you can't fix With a 1911 and a 30-06

Thanks for the reply. Learned a good lesson as a kid not to shoot another round after a dud reload. Lucky I didn't lose a hand and even luckier I didn't lose my life after I had to tell my dad what I did to his gun. Good thing we can laugh about it 30 years later.

The gun was not worth more than $350-$400 to begin with, in the condition that you stated, its likely maybe a $100 gun... I'd be SURE To list it as a parts gun only and that the gun is not to be fired... too much liability for too little money...

Can I take the barrels off the gun and sell it as parts without an FFL or do I still need to use an FFL?

you don't need an FFL to sell the gun at all... only the buyer needs an FFL...

If you part it out, only the receiver is a "gun." The rest of the parts, including the barrels, should somebody want them for a monobloc, are just metal "stuff". You can ship them just like they were a screwdriver or a file. Too bad about the barrels, but the fixes are more than the gun is worth.

In addition, assuming Nebraska is still a free state, you can sell the gun or just the action to anybody in your state without involving an FFL.

Thanks guys. I have listed it locally as a PARTS only gun. Hopefully somebody can get some use out of it.

How far out is the bulge? I had a 311 stevens that I dropped and put a big dent in. Had it sawed down to 20" and I had a brush gun that was hard to beat. Buddy talked me out of it. Wish he hadn't.
