That is a fine photo Ben, I really like the way you laid it out and found such a unique stump to center the setup. Well done!

I am a wee bit concerned that we've been a bit of a negative influence on you though, as it appears that there's something blue on the muzzle end of your 600/Mohawk Remington there. wink

Thanks for the fine photo and all the best to you and your family in 2012 Ben.

Alas, I am afraid you are right Dwayne. frown Blue tape is on most of the guns in the house, except for my Mauser, which in addition to blue, also has yellow, white, green and black electrical tape! grin And also my .22, which has red instead of blue... grin

My brother is slowly going nuts because when we're on hikes or out hunting I am CONSTANTLY saying "Ooooh, that would be a good place for a fencepost picture!" laugh laugh

Sorry 'bout the hijack, here's another fence post pic.... It's sort of the reverse of the last one because instead of being nice and sunny and warm, it's blowing sleet and snow.

Thank you. I built it and it has killed a lot of deer, squirrels and one antelope.

This thread sure has a lot of barrels taped together....hows the accuracy after you put them back together?

Ok Karnis whats the story on the bottom rifler? Cartridge and so on.

JOC was right. The 270 Winchester on a Model 70 is a great combination as is the 30/06 and 375 H&H

You must be looking at your computer upside down. The Top one gets my nod.

Ok. Here's the story. I was on the computer and looking in the classifieds and said "Hmmmmm, lookee there...." and I bought it. laugh

Actually I bought it from Cliff444 (IIRC) a few years back. Originally it was a Ti in 7mm-08. Shot 140 gr boolits like they had eyes and since the wife wanted to hunt (it turned into her rifle before I could blink) I switched to 120's. It was ho-hum and being a bit crazed, bought a standard contour 24" SS Remington take off (classifieds-where else) had it installed and cut to 23".

Some way or another the Ti stock was moved to another SA Remmy and I bought a Ti BDL stock from Stocky's using a floorplate I had stuffed in the back on my goodee box. It now shoots the 120's and 110 TTSX's beautifully.

Unfortunately the rifle is still not mine. The wife repossessed and re-titled it. I'm sure it will be the last one to go. mad

Hey Jim the Plumber, seeing that rifle again makes me wonder about the permits to use one. Were they hard to get or expensive, and how long are they good for?

I don't know if it would be legal to use one when hunting here in Iowa, but the idea intrigues me for some reason. I imagine on on the end of my low wall or something like that smile

I'd love to hear more about those funny cans.
