I'd love to hear more about those funny cans. It is probably a felony here in New Jersey to have a picture of a gun with a silencer stored on your hard drive.

What is the purpose of the tape on the barrels? Uh oh! This thread will go another 20 or 25 pages now!

What is the purpose of the tape on the barrels? Previously? Prevent schit from getting in the tube. Currently? Prevent schit from getting in the tube and prove JO is an idiot. Travis

An old fence post was used to make this bench rest. This is my custom 300 win mag. Kreiger barrel on Mod 70 action.

Anyone can shoot an elk and set up his rifle next to the downed animal. It takes real talent to get an elk to trip on a log and break it's neck right in front of your rifle.

All we have is t-posts. Here's the best I could do yesterday evening on the lease. We have a 2-week doe/spike season ending next weekend. Didn't see anything though....except for the sunset last night looking out of the blind! Wow! Notice the lit-up drilling rig...there's actually 3 on the adjoining property - and you can see the windmills in the distance just to the right of the drilling rig. Here are the pics:

Here is a fence post picture with all the critical pieces of a perfect last day of the season. Less than 2 hrs ago.

Brent, that is a good one for sure! In the spirit of shotguns, I finally was able to go bird hunting (on 1/2/12) with the 16 gauge Browning my wife gave me for Valentine Day last year - it is a pleasure to carry afield.

Nice slender grip on that gun. I bet it points really well.

So far I'm pleased, only shot skeet with it as of yet, never found a covey (it was all briars and broomstraw), but going back for more soon. Maybe I'll have some birds in my next picture!

Nice dog there! You can now sell all your auto-loaders, your pumps, and every other shotgun you have. The twin tubes produce a point of no return thing that makes all other shotguns uninteresting. However, you might have to experiment with side-bys someday. Good luck!

Brent I love that Golden! We have a male. 7 months young. His name is Sawyer. He is really just a family pet/companion but great dogs! Care to share the name of yours and age?

That is Molly, an English Setter that belongs to my hunting pardner. I am a longtime user of double barrels, here is a 12 gauge Winchester I have owned a long time, it is 20 years older than me! However, I will keep all my other shotguns (semi's, pumps, SxS, and single shots) just love shotguns to much to limit myself to only one type.
