Older 2-7 Burris Mini is just about perfect in my opinion.

FWIW, I'd be more concerned with what scope works well for ME, and the type of shooting I do, instead of how it looks.

Just about any Leupold offering will do well without the need for those ass-ugly offset rings. I had a Leupold Vari-XIIc 2x7 on my RSI for a while and now I'm moving to a VX-III 2.5x8.
I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum. I do tend to fit in well wherever I go in person. The campfire is the most outside exposure I get. No TV, no newspaper.

I had an extra VX-II 3x9 Leupold so, that's what I used.

My 7x57 wears a late '80s vintage B&L Balvar 2-8x compact.

Might sound like a broken record, but a compact Leupold 2x7 is hard to beat. IMO

I just put a 6x Burris fullfield II on my No.1 and the eye relief is fantastic.
